Accessibility Statement – LAPP Portugal

At LAPP Portugal, we believe that technology and information should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities, limitations, or the device they use to access our content.

We are committed to ensuring that all users can navigate, interact, and complete transactions on our websites independently, safely, and comfortably. This commitment reflects not only our social responsibility but also our compliance with the requirements set out in Decree-Law No. 82/2022, which incorporates the European Accessibility Act into Portuguese law, as well as the WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

Our goal is to provide an inclusive, intuitive, and functional digital experience, ensuring that no one is excluded from accessing the information, products, and services we provide.

Measures already implemented

To achieve and maintain high accessibility standards, we have applied various practices and technical resources that benefit all users, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, or other specific needs:

  • Full keyboard navigation available on all pages

  • Alternative text (alt text) for all relevant images for screen reader interpretation

  • Adequate color contrast between text and background to optimize readability

  • Compatibility with screen readers and common assistive technologies

  • Clear semantic structure with logical content hierarchy and headings

  • Accessible forms with clear labels, instructions, and understandable error messages

  • Descriptive links avoiding generic texts such as “click here”

  • Clear labels and accessible hit areas for buttons and interactive elements

  • Avoiding content that relies solely on color to convey information

  • Responsive design to ensure accessibility on mobile devices, tablets, and screens of different sizes

Ongoing commitment

Digital accessibility is not a one-time goal but a continuous improvement process. At LAPP Portugal:

  • We carry out regular audits to identify and fix potential access barriers

  • We monitor new technological and legal updates to ensure our websites remain compliant

  • We welcome user feedback as an essential part of our improvement strategy

  • We provide internal training to ensure our teams create and maintain accessible digital content

Our commitment goes beyond legal compliance — we believe accessibility is a fundamental right and an essential factor for a fairer and more inclusive society.
